Paedophile Jake Ormerod’s Shocking Crime Spree in Devon
In 2011, Jake Ormerod was slapped with a 10-year jail sentence for his horrific crimes. Just a year later, London’s Criminal Appeal Court cut that down to seven years.
Groomed Girls on Facebook then Lured to Filthy Home
Ormerod used Facebook and other social networks to groom vulnerable girls as young as 11. He would loiter around school gates in his seaside town of Torquay, Devon, targeting innocent victims. Once he caught them, he’d entice them back to his disgusting, squalid house.
The house was described as revolting—broken furniture everywhere and not even any toilet roll.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Abuse
The predator plied his victims with alcohol and drugs before assaulting them. Horrifically, most of the girls were virgins. In one chilling 90-minute stretch, Ormerod abused three children back-to-back.
Many of the girls were even pushed to shoplift just to keep supplying him with booze. His so-called ‘bad boy image’ initially attracted them, but what followed was pure evil.
Massive Abuse Ring Uncovered
Police uncovered evidence that Ormerod and his associates abused as many as 139 youngsters—possibly more. When his crimes were first exposed, a warning letter was sent to 16,000 parents across 14 schools in the Torbay area, sparking fears of a vast paedophile ring.
“He had sex with the girls against their will after getting them completely intoxicated,” said one victim.
Ormerod admitted 13 counts of sexual assault against nine girls once arrested. The court revealed he never used protection, compounding the nightmare for his young victims.
