Drug Dealers Busted in Sawtry with £5,000 Cash and Cocaine Haul
Police Raid Uncovers Cash and Cocaine
Officers stormed Joshua Longland’s home in College Court, Sawtry, on April 9, 2021, acting on intelligence about drug dealing. The raid uncovered around £5,000 in cash and a smartphone packed with incriminating texts and debt sheets linked to drug deals.
£129,000 Bank Balance Raises Suspicions
Further investigations revealed Longland had roughly £129,000 in his bank account – money he couldn’t explain. The evidence piled up against the 33-year-old, exposing a major criminal operation.
Accomplice Benjamin Hollis Caught with Cocaine
Benjamin Hollis, 41, was identified as Longland’s partner-in-crime. Police also raided his Louthe Way home in Sawtry. Inside, they found a block of cocaine, deal bags, and a mobile phone loaded with drug dealing messages between the pair.
Jail Sentences for Sawtry Drug Duo
On July 22 at Peterborough Crown Court, Longland was jailed for 27 months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine. He also admitted charges involving cannabis, ecstasy, and possession of criminal property, though no extra penalty was added for the latter.
Hollis received a 21-month sentence after pleading guilty to supplying ecstasy, cocaine, MDMA, and cannabis. His additional guilty plea for cannabis supply will remain on file.
These convictions send a clear message – drug dealers in Sawtry beware.
