Monster Sentenced to 20 Years for Decades of Abuse
Dulon Miah, 35, from Tower Hamlets, was locked up for 20 years at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, 10 July. He was found guilty in April of 18 sexual assault charges, including rape, spanning 14 years against two female victims.
Brave Victim Breaks Silence, Police Launch Investigation
The Met Police started probing Miah in 2022 after one victim courageously came forward, revealing abuse from the age of six lasting over a decade. Both victims were known to the predator, making the case even more chilling.
Detective Constable Lucy Bowman, lead investigator, said: “We treat cases like this incredibly seriously and are proud to have secured justice for these survivor-victims while locking up one more dangerous predator. The Met is committed to protecting women and girls. We urge anyone who has been abused, no matter how long ago, to come forward and get the support you deserve.”
Met’s Tireless Work Brings Second Victim to Light
Thanks to the officers’ dedication, a second victim stepped forward detailing years of abuse by Miah. Investigators handled interviews with care and compassion, gathering vital medical records that proved the extent of the horrors and helped build a bulletproof case.
