Toby Pierce, 20, from Dane Road, has been hit with 10 counts of arson and one reckless arson charge endangering life. He also faces an assault charge.
Police Probe After Campervan and Cars Torched
The charges come after a series of vehicle fires in Ramsgate just after midnight on Monday 14 March. Officers from Thanet Local Policing Team rushed to the scene where a campervan, with occupants inside, and several other vehicles were ablaze. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Court Date Set as Investigation Continues
Pierce remains in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 1. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old Ramsgate man arrested on suspicion of arson and cannabis possession has been released on bail until 11 April as detectives continue their inquiry.
