London man jailed for horrific child sex crimes
Eliot Dobkin, 35, from Stamford Hill, London, has been locked up for brutally abusing a young girl earlier this year. The victim bravely came forward after the attacks at a Kent property in February 2023.
Guilty verdict at Canterbury Crown Court
Dobkin was arrested on March 3 and faced charges. Despite denying the claims, a jury at Canterbury Crown Court found him guilty on September 1 of two counts of rape, sexual activity with a child, and attempting to make the child engage in sexual activity.
Stiff jail term handed down
On December 12, Dobkin was sentenced to 10-and-a-half years behind bars. He must also serve an additional three-and-a-half years on licence after release and is slapped with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to keep him away from children.
Investigation praised by police
Detective Constable Emma Garcia-Solley of the Vulnerability Investigation Team said: “The victim’s courage has ensured Dobkin pays the price and is off the streets. He targeted her specifically and committed these sickening crimes. We’re relieved justice has been served.”
“I urge anyone who has suffered sexual abuse to come forward quickly so we can stop offenders and protect others.”
