Man Arrested Over Brutal Christmas Day Stabbing in Hounslow
A 39-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 26 December, on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Meanwhile, a 68-year-old man, arrested earlier on Sunday, 22 December, has been bailed until mid-January.
Victim ‘Brim’ Slain in Friend’s Flat
Police were called just before midday on 19 December to a stabbing at a residential address on Grove Road, Hounslow. Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene.
They found 35-year-old Ebrima Cham – known as ‘Brim’ – suffering multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at 12:06pm. A post-mortem confirmed he died from multiple stab injuries.
Targeted Attack Sparks Police Hunt
“We believe three suspects forced their way into the property where Brim sustained fatal injuries. There’s no doubt that Brim was the victim of a targeted attack,” said Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, leading the investigation.
Detectives are eager to uncover details about Brim’s life and associations in the weeks before his death. He was staying at a friend’s flat when he was killed, but police want to know where else he had been recently.
“If anyone has any information or was in the Grove Road, Hibernia Road, or Hanworth Road areas between 11:00am and noon on that day, please come forward. Dashcam or cycle helmet footage could hold vital clues,” McHugh urged.
Family Plea: Help Us Find Justice This Christmas
“Our nightmare started last Thursday. Having detectives break the worst possible news that our beloved ‘Brim’ has been so brutally murdered,” said Brim’s family.
“We thought this kind of violence would never touch us. Brim should have been safe in a flat. We haven’t slept since, numb with pain and full of questions, especially ‘Why?’”
“Christmas, normally a time of peace and celebration, has become a period of mourning. We urgently ask anyone with information to support the police and stop this barbaric behaviour.”
Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner added, “Our thoughts remain with Brim’s family. We are committed to finding those responsible.”
