Two Dead, Woman Seriously Hurt in Horror A6 Motorbike Crash
A tragic crash on the A6 Preston Road in Clayton-Le-Woods, Lancashire, has claimed two lives and left a woman fighting for her life. The smash happened shortly after 10.30pm on Thursday, 7 August, involving a BMW motorbike and two pedestrians.
Fatal Crash Details
- The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Cheshire, died at the scene.
- One pedestrian, a man in his 60s from Clayton-Le-Woods, was also pronounced dead on the spot.
- The second pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was rushed to hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.
Three Men Arrested Over Deadly Crash
Lancashire Police have arrested three men on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The suspects are a 53-year-old from Lancashire, and two men aged 57 and 46 from Cheshire. They have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
“This collision has very sadly resulted in the death of two men, and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances that led to the collision,” said Detective Sergeant Joe Ghigi. “Our thoughts are with the woman receiving treatment, and the loved ones of both men who died. Although we have now made three arrests, our inquiries are very much ongoing. If you witnessed anything or have any footage which would assist our investigation, I would urge you to make contact with the police as soon as possible.”
