Man Injured in Shocking Knife Attack

Kent Police rushed to a High Street property in Rochester at around 9pm on Thursday, 2 November 2023, after receiving reports of a stabbing. A man in his 30s was found with injuries consistent with stab wounds.

He was quickly taken to hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service and has since been discharged. The community was shaken by the violent incident.

Two Arrests Made Over Attempted Murder

On Sunday, 5 November, a 27-year-old woman, Maisey Barrett from High Street, Rochester, was arrested. The Crown Prosecution Service has charged her with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place. She appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 7 November and was remanded in custody.

Man Also Charged and Remanded

Meanwhile, Daniel Baker, 29, also from High Street, Rochester, was charged separately with attempted murder and knife possession. Already in custody, he appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 4 November and is set for a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 4 December.
