Police swooped on Robin Hood Way flats after reports of men smoking cannabis. The suspects bolted but were soon caught hiding in a boiler room upstairs.

Knife and Cannabis Found on Suspect

Officers discovered one man, Arjum Pandya, 21, carrying both a knife and cannabis. Pandya, from Elm Close, Selby, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis.

Suspect to Face Court

Pandya is set to appear at nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 27 January 2023.

Police Praise Swift Action

“This was a good piece of police work and shows why we respond to calls as rapidly as possible,” said Inspector Karl Thomas, Nottingham South district commander. “It is always a great result when we are able to take dangerous and potentially lethal knives off the street. Educating people about the dangers of knife crime remains a priority across Nottingham South. I am pleased we have charged this suspect and placed him before the courts.”
