Just after midnight on Tuesday 7 March 2023, Kent Police were scrambled to a Cranbrook village where windows of two shops were smashed. The incident sparked a dramatic police response.

Officers quickly tracked down a suspect on Station Road. The man allegedly assaulted a constable before being arrested and hauled into custody. But the mayhem didn’t end there.

Custody Cell Damaged in Police Station Ruckus

Back at the station, the troublemaker reportedly caused further damage to one of the cells. Not the quiet night officers expected.

Teen Charged and Remanded Ahead of Crown Court Hearing

The culprit, 19-year-old Cameron Jeffery from Vale Road, Cranbrook, now faces three counts of criminal damage, assault on an emergency worker, and being drunk and disorderly. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8 March and was remanded to await a Maidstone Crown Court hearing, date TBC.
