88-Year-Old Scootering Victim Robbed in Broad Daylight
An 88-year-old man was targeted while riding his scooter down Potter Street in Worksop. A man approached and demanded money, sparking a violent struggle.
Wallet Snatched After Fight
The attacker tried to snatch the victim’s wallet. After a tussle, he got hold of it and rifled through the cash before walking off with the loot.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Police launched an investigation and arrested 33-year-old Andrew Merritt from Cheapside, Worksop. Merritt now faces robbery charges and is due in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 August 2023.
