Tonbridge Burglar Busted After Aggravated Break-In

A suspected thief has been charged following a brazen burglary in Tonbridge. On Tuesday, 28 January 2020, money and tobacco were stolen during a violent break-in at a home on Trench Road.

Lee Murphy Arrested and Charged

Lee Murphy, 22, from Bondfield Close in Tunbridge Wells, was arrested on Friday, 24 July. He faces charges including burglary, possession of an offensive weapon, and assaulting an emergency worker — a police officer.

Remanded in Custody Ahead of Next Hearing

Murphy appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 25 July. He has been remanded in custody and is due back in court on 21 August.
