Van Stolen With Parcels on Board
Kent Police sprang into action at 12:55pm on Thursday 14 April after a van loaded with a large haul of parcels was reported stolen from Chaucer Road, Canterbury.
Quick Arrest and Recovery
Officers tracked down and arrested a man just 20 minutes later in Godden Road. The stolen van and all its contents were recovered intact.
Suspect Charged with Multiple Offences
Ronnie Mead, 33, from Hunton Gardens, Canterbury, has been charged with robbery, driving without insurance, and possession of cannabis.
Court Appearance and Custody
Mead appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 April. He was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 16 May.
