Syrian Migrant Claims Stepdaughter Seduced Him After First Ever Drink in Shocking Rape Trial
Chilling Allegations Rock Belgian Court
A Syrian man on trial in Belgium faces horrifying charges of raping his 8-year-old stepdaughter. The abuse allegedly took place at their home in Doische between January and March 2021. The victim, who remains anonymous, was found pregnant, triggering a police investigation that uncovered the horrific truth.
Stepdaughter’s DNA Evidence Seals the Case
Initially confused, the child claimed a 16-year-old friend was responsible. But DNA tests proved otherwise. “We examined the embryo’s DNA. They matched the DNA of the stepfather,” court officials revealed. The young girl underwent a voluntary abortion at eight weeks pregnant.
Defence Tries Shocking Excuse: ‘First Time Drinking’
After his September 2021 arrest, the accused attempted to excuse his actions by saying, “It was the first time I drank, and I didn’t know how to control myself.” Even more disturbing, he claimed the child had seduced him. “She’s eight, but she thinks she’s older. She climbed onto my lap and kissed me,” he told authorities.
His defence lawyers argued cultural norms in Syria allow girls to marry from 13 years old, trying to justify the behaviour. “He wishes to conform to our laws and live in the Belgian manner,” they insisted.
Prosecution Demands Heavy Sentence
Belgian prosecutors have called for a minimum 10-year prison sentence. A verdict is expected on July 13, closing a case that has sent shockwaves through the community.
