A 33-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed near Woolwich Station on Thursday evening. The shocking attack sparked a major emergency response and caused road closures across the area.

The incident happened at about 6:11pm on 10 April in Parry Place, close to Beresford Street. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were quick to arrive on the scene.
Paramedics found the victim with stab wounds and treated him before taking him to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are reported as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.
Police Lockdown and Road Closures
Authorities sealed off parts of Beresford Street and Woolwich New Road following the stabbing. Police have yet to confirm if all cordons directly relate to the attack, and investigations are ongoing.
“Police were called to a report of a stabbing on Parry Place, Woolwich at around 6.11pm on Thursday, 10 April. A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
No suspects have been arrested so far. Police are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the stabbing to come forward.
