Teacher Jailed Over Sick Child Sex Abuse
Kandice Barber, 35, from Wendover, was locked up for over six years today at Aylesbury Crown Court for sexually abusing a child she met at work.

Barber, who worked at the victim’s school, started messaging him on Snapchat in 2018, sending explicit photos of herself. She then arranged a meeting where they engaged in sexual activity.
Serious Sentence for Serious Crime
The court found her guilty of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, communicating sexually with a child, causing a child to watch a sexual act, and sexual activity with a child under 16. She was sentenced to six years and two months behind bars.
“Barber completely abused her position as a member of school staff to groom the victim and gain his trust before engaging in sexual activity with him,” said Detective Constable Collette Parker of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit.
“These kinds of offences will never be tolerated and we are pleased the seriousness of this crime has been reflected in a significant custodial sentence.”
“We must also pay tribute to the victim and the witnesses, many still children, who showed tremendous courage throughout the trials. It’s been extremely traumatic, and I hope the sentence today brings them some closure.”
