Life for Killer Who Stabbed Abdirizak in Cold Blood
A brutal gang tricked 24-year-old Abdirizak “Abdi” Hassan into a deadly trap in Roehampton. They lured him to a flat, then attacked and stabbed him in the chest. Abdi died from his injuries – but his killers will now pay for their ruthless crime.
Elijah Roye Jailed for Life
Elijah Roye, 19, of Wandsworth, was sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on 2 November. He received life imprisonment with a minimum of 18 years behind bars for murdering Abdi. Roye had already been convicted of the murder back in May.
Gory Details of the Attack
- The attack happened on 5 May 2021 at a residential flat in Dowdeswell Close, SW15.
- Police found Abdi with a fatal stab wound the next morning at 11:04am.
- The group had used a vulnerable woman’s phone to lure Abdi to the flat with a fake offer to buy from him.
- The ambush lasted several minutes before the attackers fled separately, caught on CCTV.
- Evidence included witness statements, forensics, CCTV, and phone records.
Other Sentences in the Gang
- Muhammed Danso, 18, of Bexley, was found guilty of manslaughter and got 10 years imprisonment.
- A 16-year-old boy, unnamed for legal reasons, was also convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years.
