Man Threatens Woman and Baby with Knives in Terrifying Attack
Joseph Johnson launched a brutal attack on a woman holding her ten-month-old baby on February 19. Armed with two knives, Johnson threatened the terrified mother, causing a stomach injury and repeatedly striking her in the face.
Threats and Violence After Relationship Ends
After the woman told Johnson she wanted to end their relationship, he threatened to kill her. In a desperate bid to escape, the petrified victim left her baby inside the property and jumped from the bedroom window—plummeting over six metres to the ground below.
Heroic Escape and Arrest
Despite her injuries, Johnson dragged the woman back inside. She managed to break free and run to a nearby witness for help. Johnson, 25, has now been locked up for seven years and three months.
