Tragic Death After Walthamstow Triple Stabbing
A man stabbed in a brutal triple attack in Walthamstow two weeks ago has died in hospital. Known to friends as “Daps,” his passing has sparked heartfelt tributes.
Stabbing Incident in Brandon Road
Police were called at 6.01pm on Wednesday, 22 February, to Brandon Road, E17, where a man in his 30s suffered stab wounds to his back and arm. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died on the morning of 7 March.
His family has been informed and is receiving support from officers at the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Two Teens Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges
Nearby on Stocksfield Road, two 18-year-old men were found wounded in the same violent incident. Both suffered stab injuries but were not in life-threatening condition. They have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
On Saturday 25 February, one of the youths was charged with attempted murder. The second remains in hospital and will be taken into custody once discharged.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, leading the investigation, said:
“This attack left a man seriously injured in hospital and we are doing all we can to track down those responsible. This charge is a significant step in our investigation; however, our enquiries continue and we are still appealing for witnesses.”
He urged anyone with information to come forward or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously. “The information you provide may be vital to bringing those responsible to justice,” he added.
