Woman Targeted in Daytime Car Attack Horror
A man shocked a woman by sexually assaulting her after asking for directions in broad daylight. The attack happened near her car on Archfield Road. The thug climbed into the passenger seat and tried to assault her. She screamed and fought back, forcing him to flee.
Suspect on the Run
The victim escaped serious injury but was left shaken and distressed. Police swooped on the area, but the attacker vanished without a trace. Officers have canvassed local homes and are hunting for the predator.
Police Describe Suspect
- Stocky white man in his 30s
- Stubble-faced with a northern accent
- Wearing a grey and black fleece jacket
- Dark shorts or trousers
- Carrying a black backpack
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“It is unusual for this type of incident to happen during the daytime in a built-up area,” said Neighbourhood Sergeant Nick Birch. “We will increase patrols soon, and our victim care team is supporting the woman. Anyone with information should come forward.”
