Man Stabbed to Death in Blackpool Shocker
Mark Gibson, 52, was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Monday on Carshalton Road, Blackpool. A post-mortem confirmed his death was caused by multiple stab wounds, Lancashire Police revealed.
Four Charged Over Murder
Police have charged two men and two women with Mark’s murder, with two more suspects arrested as the investigation heats up. The accused are:
- Stephanie Steele, 38, of Gorton Street
- Stephen Pugh, 40, of Chapel Street
- Tina Walton, 43, of Boothroyden
- Shaun Neil, 42, of Boothroyden
They’re due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court this Thursday.
More Arrests as Police Crack Case
Two other men remain in custody: a 33-year-old Blackpool man arrested on suspicion of murder and a 53-year-old Blackpool man held for assisting an offender.
Police Praise Community, Boost Patrols
Detective Chief Inspector Jane Webb said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the tremendous response from the local community during our inquiries.”
She urged anyone with information to step forward and confirmed police will increase patrols around Carshalton Road to keep residents safe.
