Sheffield Man Jailed for Preying on Young Victim
A jury at Sheffield Crown Court has found Sutton guilty of sexually abusing a young boy he had initially befriended with bike rides, social media chats, and gifts.
Groomed Then Attacked
In October 2019, Sutton lured the victim to his Sheffield home. The boy fell asleep watching a film before Sutton sexually assaulted him. After the attack, Sutton sent chilling messages warning the child to keep quiet.
Justice Served
The victim, granted lifelong anonymity, showed immense bravery throughout the trial. Detective Lindsey Fishwick praised the boy’s courage and condemned Sutton’s lies.

Harsh Sentence for Sutton
Sutton, from Lupton Road, Sheffield, was convicted on two counts of sexual activity with a child. On 25 April, he was sentenced to six years and six months in prison and placed on the sex offender register for 15 years.
