Leeds Burglar Busted: Alan Skey Caught and Jailed
Alan Skey from Leeds was snapped up by cops on April 17 after a relentless probe by Leeds CID and the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Eight Charges, Including Armed Robbery
The day after his arrest, Skey faced six burglary counts and two armed robbery charges. He later pleaded guilty to all eight crimes, which occurred between 1 and 15 April 2022.
In addition, Skey admitted to six more offences during the same period under the Offences to be Considered (TIC) scheme.
Justice Served at Leeds Crown Court
Yesterday (31 May), Skey was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court for his string of crimes, bringing an end to his reign of terror.
Detective Proud of the Team’s Work
“We are happy with today’s punishment for Skey since it is a substantial result of a thorough and efficient investigation earlier this year,” said Detective Sergeant Andrew Greatorex, Leeds CID.
“I know many city centre businesses suffered from these attacks. I hope this arrest and conviction reassure those affected by Skey’s criminality.”
