Man in 20s Shot in Canterbury – Air Ambulance Called but Not Needed

A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital after being shot in the stomach in Canterbury last night. The victim was found injured on Oxford Road, Wincheap, just before 10:40pm, after officers believe the shooting took place nearby on Godwin Road.

Serious Crime Unit Launches Investigation

Kent Police confirmed the man sustained a “serious injury consistent with a bullet wound.” The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has taken over the investigation. Despite the initial callout of an air ambulance, he was taken to hospital by road.

No Arrests Yet – Police Urge Public to Help

No suspects have been arrested so far. Police are scouring the local area to piece together what happened and to identify the weapon used.
