Knife-wielding thug jailed after stabbing victim in chilling attack
Stabbing sparked by street spat
Andre King, 20, unleashed violence after spotting a brawl downstairs at his Burley Road accommodation on 10 June 2021. Hearing the chaos from his room, King checked the scene before retreating to gear up.
Stab vest on, he went hunting
King strapped on a stab vest, stormed outside, and chased the victim who was with a friend. He then shouted, “Who’s got a knife then?” before plunging a kitchen knife into the man’s ribs.
Quick arrest, full recovery
- Officers arrested King at the scene and seized the knife and vest from his room.
- The victim needed hospital treatment but has made a full recovery.
Repeat offender locked up
King pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent. At Maidstone Crown Court, he was handed four years behind bars plus an extended four-year licence. Police Constable Michael Nolan slammed King’s actions:
“King clearly did not learn his lesson from his previous conviction, having been jailed for the manslaughter of a man in 2018. He is clearly a dangerous individual who has no hesitation in inflicting serious injuries on others.”
