In June 2020, Bedfordshire Police swooped on Khan’s Russell Street, Luton pad. They found piles of cash and an Apple iPhone stashed in a bedroom wardrobe during the raid.
Khan faced bail between June and October as investigations deepened. But new evidence revealed his dark link to an organised crime group (OCG) running the Encrochat operation.
Codename ‘Uncle’ and ‘Wizewords’ – Khan’s Underworld Aliases
Known as ‘Uncle’ and communicating under the handle ‘Wizewords’, Khan was re-arrested for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. Officers uncovered photos sent from his locations, confirming his key role in the network.
Data from Encrochat servers linked Khan and co-conspirators to an OCG now serving a total of 65 years behind bars.
Thirteen Years Behind Bars for Luton’s Drug Dealer
The incriminating iPhone sealed Khan’s fate, showing he brokered drug deals for the OCG. On 21 June, Luton Crown Court handed him a hefty 13 years and three months sentence for conspiring to supply Class A drugs.
