Word quickly spread about PC Robertson’s life-saving efforts. On Friday, Superintendent Barrie Joisce met her at Southwick to praise her outstanding courage and dedication. As a thank you, he handed her a cinema voucher—a sweet nod to the night she gave up.
“Her warmth and caring nature shone through as she stopped to help and expertly took control of what could have been a very difficult situation,” said Supt Joisce. “PC Robertson’s quick actions undoubtedly saved a life. PC Robertson, who joined the force in 2019, stayed humble about her heroics. “I just did what anyone would have done,” she said. “The most important thing was getting the man to safety. I hope he gets the help he needs. It was a real team effort—from emergency services to the public who stopped to assist.
