Blaze Breaks Out at Feltham Young Offenders Institution
Firefighters are still battling a blaze at HMYOI Feltham after a fire erupted inside a prison cell on Monday evening.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
The London Fire Brigade was called to the South West London facility just after 4.30pm. Fire crews and paramedics were dispatched urgently to tackle the flames on one of the prison spurs.
“Fire crews and Paramedics have been called to the Prison due to a fire on one of the prison spurs,” a prison service source confirmed.
Officials Responding
The Ministry of Justice has been approached for comment. Updates are expected as the situation develops.
