Appeal for witnesses to assault following collision in Portsmouth

Hampshire police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Anglesea Road on Monday, Jan 2. The incident happened at 9.35am, following a collision between a black VW Passat and a black Ford C Max, at the junction towards Gunwharf Quay. The driver and passenger of the VW Passat, a man and woman, got out of their vehicle and confronted the people in the Ford C Max following the collision. It is alleged that the woman from the VW Passat, partial registration KO06, assaulted a 24-year-old woman who had got out of the Ford C Max. She was travelling in the car with her husband and two children. The woman was pulled to the ground by her hair and received a neck injury and bruising and was treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital. The suspect was described as: · White woman · In her early 40s · Short – about five feet, four inches tall · Blonde, shoulder-length hair · Chubby build · She was wearing jeans and a pink hoody at the time and was described as looking scruffy
