Detectives have initiated an attempted murder investigation in Ardmore, Derry/Londonderry, following a report of shots fired at a house on Ardkill Road last night, Saturday, January 6.
Detective Sergeant Chambers revealed that police responded to a report of three shots fired through a house window around 21.15 GMT. Fortunately, the occupant inside narrowly escaped injury. Three other individuals were present at the time but were unharmed.
The investigation is underway, and authorities are urging anyone who was in the Ardmore area around the time of the incident to come forward. Detective Sergeant Chambers emphasised the importance of information from the public, encouraging individuals with dash-cam or doorbell footage to contact the police at 101, quoting reference 1536 06/01/24.
