Basingstoke Teen Jailed for 5 Years Over Armed Robbery Spree
An 18-year-old from Basingstoke has been locked up for five years after terrorising victims with an imitation firearm in Camberley and pulling off a daring robbery in Wokingham.
Theatre of Terror: Camberley Car Park Hold-Up
Theo Charles Healis, from Hatch Warren, went on the rampage on the evening of 28 March 2017. At around 8pm, he confronted a man closing his car boot in the Atrium multi-storey car park, Camberley. Healis shouted threats, then whipped out a dark sock housing a fake gun from down his waistband, sending the victim into panic.
Refusing to back down, the victim followed Healis and his gang – two males and a female – out of the car park. Seconds later, Healis threatened to kill him again. The victim raced to the security office and called the police.
Armed officers rushed to the scene and arrested Healis, seizing the imitation firearm.
Earlier Robbery Adds to Healis’ Record
Just days earlier, on 23 March 2017, Healis had already struck in Wokingham. A man walking near the council offices at Shute End noticed two men behind him, one with a covered face. Fearing a real gun, the victim handed over his bag, which the suspect then made off with.
Thames Valley Police, working with the victim, quickly identified Healis as the culprit and charged him with robbery.
