Another Arrest Made in Battle Stabbing Probe

Shock Stabbing Rocks Battle Town Centre

Police have arrested a third suspect over the brutal stabbing in Battle on February 7th. Officers rushed to Old Ladies Court near Battle High Street at around 10:30am following reports of a serious assault.

A 21-year-old local man suffered serious leg injuries consistent with a stabbing. After emergency treatment, he was discharged from hospital.

Three Men Now in Custody Over Brutal Assault

Earlier, a 38-year-old from Bexhill and a 29-year-old from Hastings were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both were released on bail with strict conditions as enquiries continue.

Sussex Police confirmed a fresh arrest—a 29-year-old man from St Leonards faces the same charge and has also been granted conditional bail pending further investigation.

Police Urge Public: Don’t Speculate

“We urge people not to speculate while we gather all the evidence,” said Detective Sergeant Rob Tillyer of Hastings CID. “We continue to support the victim and their family throughout this investigation.”
