Body Found in Hampshire Amid Hunt for Missing East London Woman
A chilling discovery in Hampshire: a body found during the search for Yajaira Castro Mendez, who vanished from Ilford, East London, on 29 May. The grim find comes just a day after a man known to Yajaira was charged with her murder.
Body Discovered as Murder Probe Deepens
Police confirmed the discovery on Saturday, 7 June. While formal ID is still pending, Yajaira’s family have been informed. A post-mortem exam is set to take place “in due course” as the investigation ramps up.
Met Police Launch Full Murder Investigation
The Metropolitan Police homicide unit has taken charge of the case, treating the body found as linked to Yajaira’s disappearance. The investigation is now in full swing.
