Manheld Over Fatal Stabbing of Teen Jodie Chesney

A 20-year-old man has been charged with the brutal murder of 17-year-old Jodie Chesney in Harold Hill. Jodie was found fatally stabbed in a local park near St Neot’s Road on the evening of Friday, 1 March.

Tragic Stabbing in Harold Hill Park

London Ambulance Service called police at 9:25pm after reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived to find Jodie suffering from a stab wound. Despite efforts, she was pronounced dead at 10:26pm that night.

Arrest and Charges Laid

Manuel Petrovic, 20, from Highfield Road, Romford, was arrested on Tuesday, 6 March in Leicester. He has been charged with murder. Petrovic appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 9 March and was remanded in custody ahead of his Old Bailey hearing scheduled for Monday, 11 March.

Investigation Ongoing

Another man remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder in London on Friday, 8 March. The Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) continues its probe into Jodie’s death.
