Brighton Dog Walker Caught on Camera Abusing Spaniel
A Brighton dog walker has admitted to a horrific attack on a spaniel named Sam. Luke Cobb, 38, pleaded guilty to a charge of animal cruelty in court on Thursday. He faces up to a year behind bars.
Shocking Video Sparks Outrage
The brutal act was caught in full on a security camera and quickly spread across social media. The footage shows Cobb violently grabbing Stanley the spaniel, roughly shoving the terrified dog’s face into a brick wall repeatedly.
The disturbing clip led to a flood of reports from horrified members of the public, sparking widespread anger and demands for justice.
Prosecutor Describes Distressing Footage
Prosecutor Megan Attree said the video revealed Stanley frantically trying to escape before Cobb forcefully grabbed him by the neck and violently abused the helpless dog.
The motive behind Cobb’s savage attack remains unclear, making the cruelty even more senseless.
Defence Claims Remorse, Sentencing Delayed
Defence lawyer Mark Charnley said Cobb is remorseful for his actions. Chair of the bench Alison Musker ordered a pre-sentence report and postponed sentencing until 31 May.
