Terrifying Attack on Cedar Avenue

Detectives are on the case after a woman was followed and had a hand slammed over her mouth while walking through a dim alley connecting Cedar Avenue and Hever Court Road on 23 May 2021. The attacker fled after the victim’s desperate calls for help.

Linked Indecent Exposure and Filming Claims

Just weeks later, on 12 June, a man matching the same description reportedly indecently exposed himself to another woman on the very same path.

Then on 7 July, a third shocking incident was reported. A man is said to have taken an upskirt photo of a teenage girl walking along Whinfell Way.

Police Boost Patrols and Launch Forensic Hunt

Officers have ramped up patrols in these hotspots and are sifting through all leads. Extensive CCTV footage is being scrutinised, with police appealing to local residents for any recordings from before and after these disturbing incidents.

Discarded items found at one scene have been sent for forensic checks. Authorities are also sharing intel with partner agencies to crack the case.

Detective Pleads for Public Help

“We are taking these reports exceptionally seriously and have gathered a considerable amount of evidence,” said Detective Chief Inspector Pete Smith from kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="7412">Kent Police. “We are confident that the man caught in the released images holds vital information. Anyone who recognises him should contact us immediately.”
