Drunken Rage Lands Man Behind Bars After Hospital Brawl
A man has been caged for attacking hospital security guards at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester.
Chaos Erupts at St Richard’s Hospital
Robert Donnalley, 31, was admitted to St Richard’s Hospital on June 27 at around 1:40pm, heavily intoxicated on drugs and booze. When a nurse tried to help him, Donnalley lashed out with threats.
Alarmed, the nurse called security for backup.
Violent Assault on Security Staff
Donnalley didn’t stop there. He spat at and physically assaulted two security guards. Police arrived quickly and arrested the troublemaker on the spot.
Swift Court Justice
Donnalley, who has no fixed address, faced Brighton Magistrates’ Court just two days later. He pled guilty to common assault and two counts of assaulting emergency workers. The court handed him a 10-week prison sentence.
The case sends a clear warning: violence against hospital staff won’t be tolerated.
