Medway Drug Dealer Busted After Suspicious Car Stop
A suspected drug dealer has been charged amid Kent Police’s relentless crackdown on class A drug supply in Medway.
Suspicious Car in Chatham Sparks Police Chase
On Monday, February 3, 2025, just before noon, patrol officers spotted a suspicious vehicle in the Magpie Hall Road area of Chatham. Police signalled the driver to stop, but the car kept moving until it finally pulled over on Palmerston Road.
A man bolted on foot, triggering a swift police pursuit. Officers soon caught and arrested a suspect nearby.
A search of the vehicle and the man uncovered multiple wraps of cocaine, a large stash of cash, and two mobile phones believed to be used in drug dealing.
26-Year-Old Charged and Remanded
The next day, Tuesday, February 4, Malachi Oba, 26, of Longley Lane, Rochester, was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and dangerous driving.
Oba appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody. He is set to face Maidstone Crown Court at a later date.

This arrest marks another victory for Kent Police in their war against drug supply networks across the region.
