Michael Enzanga Attacks Officer with Knife
Michael Enzanga, 20, of no fixed address, was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after viciously plunging a knife into PC Russell Turner’s back. The shocking attack happened on February 21 in 1 Park, portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth, leaving the officer with a collapsed lung.
Lengthy Sentence for Armed Drug Dealer
Today, October 19, Portsmouth Crown Court sentenced Enzanga to 16 years behind bars, plus an extended four-year licence period for the violent assault.
Experienced Criminal with Long Record
Enzanga’s criminal past is riddled with knife possession and dealing class A drugs – offences dating back to 2014. Judge Roger Hetherington made his stance clear as he addressed the defendant in court:
“You were no innocent dupe. You were already an experienced criminal who knew exactly what you were doing.”
