Blowing More Than Twice the Legal Limit
On 23 November 2021, Read was stopped by police in Deal. His breathalyser showed 100 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath—nearly three times the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
Heavy Penalties Hit Hard
At Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 15 December 2021, Read pleaded guilty. He was disqualified from driving for a harsh 36 months, fined £150, and hit with a £34 surcharge and £85 in court costs.
