Violent Clashes Outside Huddersfield Hotel Leave Two Injured
Calderdale CID is hunting for witnesses after a brutal fight erupted outside the Cedar Court Huddersfield Hotel on Saturday, 1 July, leaving two people seriously hurt.
Woman Suffered Life-Changing Facial Injuries
The chaos kicked off around 10.30pm when a woman, standing clear of the melee, was suddenly attacked by another female. The victim was knocked to the ground and assaulted, resulting in life-changing facial injuries.
A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of wounding. She has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Second Victim Injured in Related Incident
Amid the disorder, another victim was struck by a glass, also requiring hospital treatment. Both victims are now recovering, but police stress the severity of the attacks.
Police Plea for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Constable Rachael Hutchison of Calderdale CID said: “We are investigating both assaults and the wider disorder outside the Cedar Court Hotel on Saturday. We urge anyone who saw the attacks or the fighting to come forward.
“The woman injured in the first attack suffered a very serious facial injury. Any information or mobile phone footage you can share could be crucial in our investigation.”
