Man Charged with Double Attempted Murder After Woolwich Stabbings
Anton Rhoden, 27, from Samuel Close, Woolwich, was charged on Sunday with two counts of attempted murder. He is set to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 August.
Violent Morning in Woolwich and Plumstead
Police were called early on Saturday, 31 July after a man was found stabbed at a home in Samuel Close, Woolwich. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the victim was taken to hospital. He remains in a stable condition.
Shortly after, officers responded to a second stabbing in Plumstead Road. A woman was found injured and was also taken to hospital. Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening.
Suspect Arrested at Scene
A man was arrested at the scene of the second stabbing and is now in police custody. Investigations into both attacks are ongoing.
