Tragic Murder in Middleton: Paul Banks Found Dead on Street

West Yorkshire Police have launched a full homicide probe after Paul Banks, 46, from Farnley, was found dead in the early hours on Bodmin Crescent, Middleton.

Found Unconscious, Pronounced Dead at Scene

Officers discovered Paul unconscious shortly before 5am on Wednesday. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Death Confirmed as Homicide Following Head Injury

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Nicholson said: “A post-mortem examination has shown Paul died as a result of a head injury, and we are treating his death as a homicide.”

Police are piecing together Paul’s movements over the week before his death. They revealed he had suffered an assault prior to being found.
