Man Murdered in Chingford Wood: Two Arrested
George-Elvis Tobosaru, 22, and Violeta Ionescu, 21 — both with no fixed address — were charged with murder on Friday, 17 February.
Charged and Caged
The pair are set to appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates Court on Saturday, 18 February. They were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, 16 February following a serious incident in Chingford.
Grim Discovery in Walthamstow Avenue
Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 9.09pm on Wednesday, 15 February after reports of an injured man in a wooded area near Walthamstow Avenue, Chingford, E4.
The victim has been identified, but officers have so far been unable to reach his next of kin.
Ongoing Investigation
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the probe. A crime scene remains in place as inquiries continue.
