18-Year-Old Arrested for Murder After Deadly Lea Bridge Road Stabbing

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Bedfordshire following a fatal stabbing last Wednesday. At the same address, another 18-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in police custody.

Tragic Stabbing Leaves Young Man Dead

Police were called to Lea Bridge Road near Grove Road around 5.20pm on 17 March after reports of a stabbing. Officers and London Ambulance Service found an 18-year-old man with fatal stab wounds. The victim, identified as Hussain Chaudhry, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem confirmed Hussain died from a stab wound to the neck causing hypovolemic shock.

Family Members Injured in Attack

Two other victims—a man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s—were found with slash injuries on their hands. Both are relatives of Hussain and were rushed to an east London hospital. They have since been discharged.

Suspect Charged and Court Date Set

Marvin Ward, 18, from Westwood Road, Ilford, was charged on Sunday with murder, two counts of attempted murder, robbery, and possession of an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 22 March.
