Man Held Over Brutal Stabbing Murder in Cricklewood
Detectives have arrested a 42-year-old man suspected of murdering Lennox Nigel Alcendor in Cricklewood. The arrest happened at a Lewisham address on Tuesday, 25 February, and the suspect remains in custody.
Victim Fatally Stabbed in Early Morning Attack
Police were called at 6:45am on Friday, 21 February after reports of an injured man on Anson Road, NW2. Despite paramedics’ efforts, Lennox Alcendor, 42, from Harlesden, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, at 7:30am. A post-mortem confirmed he died from a stab wound.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe said, “Our investigation is moving at pace. Though an arrest has been made, we still want to hear from anyone who witnessed this fatal incident on a residential street.”
He added, “There may be people with crucial information or dash cam footage from Cricklewood Broadway or Anson Road around the time of the attack. Every call is treated in complete confidence—please don’t hesitate to contact us.”
