£12,000 Watch Heist on Brighton’s Oxford Street Ends in Quick Police Arrest

Police swooped on a brazen daylight robbery at Watches and Coins on Brighton’s Oxford Street. Three suspects nabbed a luxury watch worth £12,000 at 2.15pm on Wednesday, October 7, before fleeing in a black car.

High-Speed Chase Down A23

Officers wasted no time, tracking the getaway vehicle along the A23 soon after the theft. The chase ended with the arrest of two men and a woman inside the car. Cops recovered the stolen watch.

Suspects Charged with Robbery

  • Florentin Niculae, 45, no fixed address
  • George Paun, 28, no fixed address
  • Stela Sava, 23, Boundary Road

All three face robbery charges and have been remanded in custody. They’re set to appear in court on Thursday, October 8.
