Wreckless Racer Locked Up After Two High-Speed Police Chases
Thomas Williams, 38, from Cristionydd, Penycae, Wrexham, has finally been snapped up by the law. The repeat offender pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and possession of Class A and B drugs after two reckless police escapes.
80mph Speeding, Pavement Stunts & Police Rammed
On November 6 last year, Williams tore through St Asaph at a terrifying 80mph. He weaved through oncoming traffic, overtook on blind bends, and even careered along pavements to dodge police stingers. The 17-mile pursuit ended when he ditched his car and tried to run – but officers caught him quickly. Williams wasn’t done. On January 16, he unleashed chaos on Wrexham streets, smashing through residential zones at 70mph in 20mph limits. He lost control on Stansty Road, rammed a police car, and got boxed in. Police tasered him and found cocaine and cannabis on his person.
Zero Tolerance for Dangerous Repeat Offenders
“Williams is a habitual disqualified driver and repeat offender. He knew he shouldn’t have been behind the wheel,” said PC Ed Robinson from the Roads Crime Unit.
This harsh sentence sends a brutal warning: ignoring driving bans and risking lives won’t be tolerated. Police will hunt down dangerous drivers whatever it takes.
