Sarah Connor Slapped with Three-Year Criminal Behaviour Order
Doncaster’s Sarah Connor, 39, has been hit with a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after a string of petty thefts from local stores. The mum was caught stealing everyday items like coffee, washing-up liquid, and boxes of chocolate. Her haul added up to over £220.
Connor appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 11 September, where details of her shoplifting spree were laid bare.
Ban from One Stop and Home Bargains
As part of her punishment, Connor is banned from entering any One Stop stores across Doncaster. She’s also barred from Home Bargains in Edlington for the entire length of the order.
Police Warn: Shoplifting Hits Hard
Sergeant Steven Roberts, from Doncaster’s neighbourhood policing team, slammed Connor’s actions. “Shoplifting is not a victimless crime. It hurts local businesses financially and puts workers in tough spots,” he said.
“We’ve been working hard to tackle shoplifting in Doncaster. Our officers are joining forces with business owners to catch offenders like Connor.”
Roberts welcomed the court’s strong response. “This order sends a clear message: shoplifting won’t be tolerated in our city,” he added.
Crackdown Continues
The Doncaster neighbourhood policing team isn’t stopping there. They’re ramping up efforts and collaborating closely with local shops to stop thefts before they start.
