Flashy Pics Nab Bulwell Drug Dealer
Shaquiri Edwards, 29, was snapped up by armed cops in Bulwell on 16 October 2024. Police were acting on a tip-off about a gang carrying knives. While no blades were found, Edwards was caught red-handed trying to toss 26 wraps of crack cocaine over a garden fence.
‘Personal Use’ Excuse Falls Flat
Edwards claimed the drugs were just for him and admitted blowing a third of his Universal Credit on them. But his story didn’t cut it. His phone was loaded with pics and videos of him flashing huge wads of cash. When questioned, he said the money was saved for a family holiday – a claim that didn’t convince anyone.
Cash and Cocaine Seal His Doom
With the cash, drugs, and flashy photos mounting up, Edwards had nowhere to hide. The Bulwell man pleaded guilty to possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. On 20 January, Nottingham Crown Court sentenced him to three years inside.
